Screening for Galway Mutation (FecXG) in Kivircik Breed
نویسندگان
چکیده
High litter size or twinning is an economically important trait that enhances sheep productivity. The FecXG has been influentially associated with the ovulation rate in various breeds. However, there limited information about this locus Kivircik breed. Therefore, aim of study was to evaluate presence Galway (FecXG) mutation (n=91) raised Kirklareli province. Genomic DNA isolated from whole blood using phenol-chloroform extraction method. genotyping performed by PCR-RFLP Results revealed all ewes had (FecXGG) and corresponding genotype fixed studied population. present analysis showed which a nucleotide alteration (cytosine thymine) at position 718 bp BMP15 (also known as FecX) gene may be considered enhancing further analyses larger populations are needed confirm results provide more detailed before focusing on genomic region breeding programs for purebred sheep.

Background: Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is an immune system disorder characterized by uncontrolled hyper-inflammation owing to hypercytokinemia from the activated but ineffective cytotoxic cells. Establishing a correct diagnosis for HLH patients due to the similarity of this disease with other conditions like malignant lymphoma and leukemia and similarity among its two forms is dif...

The high ovulation rate and fertility are very important production traits in sheep production. The aim of the study was to determine the BMP-15, BMPR-1B and GDF-9 gene mutations which are related with the high ovulation with high ovulation rate in Chios, Kivircik, Awassi and Imrose sheep breeds. Fifty sheep from each breed were provided for this study. Blood samples for all the animals were co...
متن کاملFamily screening for a novel ATP7B gene mutation, c.2335T>G, in the South of Iran
Background Wilson disease (WD) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder, which leads to copper metabolism, due to mutations in ATP7B gene. The gene responsible for WD consists of 21 exons that span a genomic region of about 80 kb and encodes a copper transporting P-type ATPase (ATP7B), a protein consisting of 1465 amino acids. Identifying mutation in ATP7B gene is important to find carrier i...
متن کاملScreening for FecGH Mutation of Growth Differentiation Factor 9 Gene in Iranian Ghezel Sheep Population
Background Ghezel sheep are highly prolific and one of the local sheep breeds in Iran and Turkey. Growth differentiation factor-9 (GDF9) gene has been found to be essential for growth and differentiation of early ovarian follicles. Novel mutations in GDF9 have been associated with increased ovulation rates and high litter sizes in heterozygous carriers. Therefore, fecundity gene for GDF9 (FecGH...
